Role Overview:
Outward Farms is seeking a Human Resources Administrator who will serve as the backbone of our people operations. This role requires a bilingual professional (English/Spanish) with a strong generalist background who can help formalize HR processes, strengthen employee relations, and bring structure to onboarding, benefits, and compliance programs. The ideal candidate is proactive, approachable, and capable of balancing strategy with day-to-day HR administration. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to identify operational gaps, prioritize HR initiatives, and execute programs that enhance culture, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR matters, supporting employees across all levels.
- Build and refine HR processes, including onboarding, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Manage and maintain employee records, policies, and compliance requirements in Gusto.
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Coordinate benefits enrollment and liaise with vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with leadership to develop employee engagement programs and drive people & culture initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen HR infrastructure and efficiency.
- Support recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and assisting with candidate communications.
- Maintain a strong understanding of HR laws and best practices to ensure compliance across all functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in a small-to-mid-sized or fast-growing organization.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Strong understanding of HR functions including employee relations, benefits, onboarding, and compliance.
- Experience using Gusto or similar HRIS systems.
- Proven ability to design and implement HR processes and frameworks from the ground up.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; approachable and solutions-oriented.
- Self-starter with high energy, able to take initiative and follow through independently.
