We are seeking a Head of Marketing & Business Development to lead and expand our marketing initiatives, enhance client engagement, and drive revenue growth.
Position Overview
The Head of Marketing & Business Development will lead the firm’s marketing strategy, business development initiatives, and client engagement efforts. This individual will oversee the marketing department, develop strategic plans, and potentially build out the marketing and business development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal or professional services marketing, business development, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Marketing Oversight
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the firm’s business goals.
- Lead and manage the firm’s brand positioning, digital presence, content strategy, and marketing communications.
- Oversee the firm’s website, social media, PR initiatives, and external communication efforts to enhance visibility.
- Identify market trends and industry developments to position the firm competitively.
- Guide the firm’s event strategy, including sponsorships, networking events, and conference participation.
- Work with leadership to develop thought leadership initiatives, ensuring attorneys are recognized as industry experts.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing materials, including practice group collateral, attorney bios, and digital assets.
Business Development & Client Growth
- Collaborate with practice group leaders and attorneys to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Manage the RFP and pitch process, ensuring proposals are tailored, compelling, and strategic.
- Develop and oversee client engagement programs, including feedback initiatives and relationship-building strategies.
- Track and analyze business development plans, oversee client satisfaction programs, and ensure measurable ROI on sponsorship programs and business development expenditures to optimize firm investments and strategic growth.
- Identify networking, sponsorship, and speaking opportunities to elevate firm visibility.
- Support and implement business development training for attorneys, helping them refine their client outreach skills.
Team Development & Department Expansion
- Evaluate the current marketing function and recommend staffing enhancements or department restructuring.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing and business development team.
- Establish and optimize marketing workflows, tools, and processes for efficiency.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and innovation within the marketing function.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6 years of experience in marketing and business development, preferably in a law firm or professional services organization.
- Strong strategic planning, leadership, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing campaigns that drive revenue growth.
- Experience in client engagement, competitive intelligence, and business development strategy.
- Proficiency in CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
- Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Salary Range: $175,000 – $200,000

This is a non-exempt full-time position. Overtime work may be required from time to time, payable in accordance with the standard payroll practices for non-exempt employees of RSHC and subject to all withholdings and deductions as required by law.
