Position Summary

The Business Development Leader is responsible for driving growth, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with potential clients. In this role, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic business development initiatives to grow relationships in channels, expand our client base, and drive revenue growth. You will work closely with the executive leadership team to identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

New Business: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive new business opportunities and revenue growth. Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to potential new clients. Develop rapport with key decision makers and translate proposals into ready-to-sign retainers and SOWs. Own the sales lifecycle from prospecting to implementation.

Networking and Prospecting: Identify and qualify new business opportunities through channels. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation. Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company and establish connections with potential clients, and close opportunities in conjunction with agency partners.

Client Satisfaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their goals and objectives.

Sales Leadership: Partner with the Chair and CEO to design a scalable sales process that aligns with the company’s growth objectives. Collaborate closely with marketing to ensure integration between sales and marketing strategies. Opportunity to build and lead a sales team to support revenue growth efforts.

Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare and present sales forecasts and reports to the executive team. Analyze sales data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales performance.

Background and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of working in a sales role.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background that matches a primary sales channel
  • Proven track record of success in driving business development and revenue growth, including the ability to arrange first meetings with new prospects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners
  • Flexibility to travel as required

COMPENSATION RANGE

$100-150k with competitive commission structure

* Strong earning potential contingent upon book of business and revenue performance
