Position Overview:

As the President, your role is pivotal in shaping the future of our subsidiary label and driving the artistic and business success of our endeavors. This dynamic position involves overseeing the entirety of the business operations of the label while concurrently providing a visionary perspective that will guide the creative trajectory of the label and its artists. With a strong emphasis on cultivating your own strategic vision for the company, you will lead our team toward innovative and groundbreaking achievements in the music industry. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of duties aimed at elevating our creative direction, fostering artist growth, and ensuring the label’s prominent position within the industry.

1.  Strategic Vision/Direction: 

  • Develop and articulate a visionary perspective for the music label sector that aligns with the company’s mission and
  • Formulate a comprehensive strategic roadmap that outlines the label’s future direction, taking into account market trends, emerging technologies, and evolving consumer
  • Lead the creative direction of the label, providing guidance and inspiration to artists, producers, and other creative
  • Champion an environment of artistic innovation, encouraging the exploration of new musical territories and unconventional
  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of 15+ members, including middle management, senior executives, and entry-level
  • Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability within the
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships, including joint ventures and collaborations, to expand the company’s reach and influence within the music

3.  Team Empowerment and Leadership:

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and accountability among the team, ensuring that each individual feels ownership of their respective
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, encouraging their professional growth and development.

4.  Industry/Legal Experience

  • Leverage your extensive experience in the music industry to establish and maintain strong relationships with artists, industry professionals, and
  • Lead negotiations for music industry deals, encompassing label agreements, publishing contracts, music supervision partnerships, and podcast
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive business growth and enhance the label’s market
  • Identify new revenue streams, partnership opportunities, and innovative business models that align with label’s
  • Possess a deep understanding of legal contracts and agreements specific to the music
  • Review, analyze, and negotiate complex legal documents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best

5.  Artist Development and Platform Building:

  • Recognize the importance of artist development in the modern music landscape and work closely with artists to nurture their creative growth and market
  • Oversee the creation of platforms and initiatives that amplify artists’ voices and help propel their careers to new

6.  Ecosystem Strategy Development:

  • Create a comprehensive and cohesive strategy that aligns all verticals within the company, promoting synergy and fostering an integrated music
  • Provide actionable insights to the CEO and executive team, contributing to the formulation of effective business

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in the music or audio content
  • Proven leadership experience in the music industry, preferably within label operations, talent/artist management, and
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in the music or audio content
  • Extensive experience in music licensing, publishing, and running a music
  • Extensive background in collaborating with artists and shaping creative
  • Ability to cultivate and manage strategic
  • Exceptional team leadership and collaboration skills, with a track record of fostering a respectful and productive work
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing revenue-generating strategies across different audio platforms.

Benefits:

Media offers a competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a vibrant and innovative company.

Salary range: $200,000- $325,000 + discretionary/ performance bonus structure
